There are 22 karat gold plated, nickel and copper plated pendants, earrings and brooches. The large wings are usually 4.5-5cms long x 1.5 cms wide and the smaller wings are usually 2.5-3cms long x 1.5cms wide. There are quite a variety of shapes within the seemingly uniform wings which differ in size according to species and also time of the season.

Apart from the hours searching for deceased cicadas in Sydney and elsewhere; a lot of time is spent preparing the wings for metal plating and matching wings for size, shape, metal colour and lustre.

Copper jewellery can have rose gold fittings or copper coloured fittings depending on the best match. Most chains for pendants are a fine link 45cms to 60cms long that can be adjusted for length, and some chains vary in type for pendants depending upon the aesthetic.

The earrings are lightweight to wear and have optional clear, soft silicone earring backs for security. The jewellery is presented in a clear recyclable box.

To clean: gently rinse in water and dry with a soft lint free cloth.
Store separately from other jewels in the recyclable presentation box.
Avoid abrasive surfaces, metal polish, lotions, hairspray and perfumes
which can affect the lustre of plated jewellery.
